What we do
- We can typeset your book to any of the standard book trims, including front and back matter, bleed images and pagination.
- We can offer a variety of body and header fonts, and advise on suitability.
- We can convert ISBNs to barcodes for your cover.
- We can convert print books to reflowable e-books including TOC.
- We can produce a print-ready PDF of your final book inside ready to upload to KDP, IngramSpark etc.
What we don’t do
- We do not print books.
- We do not produce covers.
- We do not upload your finished book to print-on-demand platforms such as Amazon’s KDP. We may be able to offer advice if you have not done this before, but we cannot access your account for you.
- We do not sell books. We can direct enquires to you and link to your book on seller’s sites.
- We do not distribute books.
Publishing through Thomas Salt
Subject to approval and editorial standards, you may publish your book under the Thomas Salt imprint, using one of our ISBNs. We reserve the right to decline books that do not fit our catalogue.
All Thomas Salt books can be listed in our shop for readers to purchase signed copies directly from you. You also gain the right to put the Thomas Salt logo on the copyright page and cover of your book.
Please note that we do not print or distribute books. We are publishing services, not a publisher in that sense.
If you purchase the right to use a Thomas Salt ISBN, you will need to use an indie-publishing platform to print and distribute your books. We can offer advice on publishing via KDP on IngramSpark if you need it.
